There are different forums related to the PirateBay. If you are interested in finding one, follow these steps:
Step 1: the best forum is the official one, which can be accessed through the “Forum” link available on the main page of the Pirate Bay. Otherwise, you can go directly by typing the following link: https://pirates-forum.org/
This forum contains announcements, info on issues related to accounts and torrents, FAQ, a chat tool and many more. An important section is “Tutorials”, which contains help for users related to downloads, uploads and other typical questions that you may have.
Step 2: google for different forums. You will find alternatives, such as “MyBroadBand”, available at https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/tags/the-pirate-bay/ which contains news related to the Pirate Bay. Another site is Reddit, where you can explore pages with comments, such as https://www.reddit.com/r/thepiratebay/comments/306yrb/official_tpb_forum/ These alternative sources usually have good information on shutdowns, and other events happening to the PirateBay. However, beware that as the PirateBay is forbidden in several countries, forums are also shut down in many instances, and thus their lives may be short.
Step 3: although not a forum per se, Facebook presents a few pages related to the PirateBay. One of them is at https://www.facebook.com/ThePirateBay.orgTPB/, which may help you to find updated info, and even someone to ask via the Facebook chat room. Besides, you can follow this page and other Facebook groups from your own Facebook page and thus, keep being informed on what is lately happening with the Pirate Bay.
3D prints are a quite new addition to the PirateBay. As such, the amount of material available is still not as big as in other categories, but there are some interesting things. If you want to explore this section, or you are searching for something specific follow these steps:
Step 1: go to the PirateBay’s main page and click on “Browse Torrents”. You will be prompted to a section containing the six main classification categories that the PirateBay uses.
Step 2: choose the subcategory “Physibles”, which appear under the category “Other”. You will then be directed to a page containing a list of all available files classified as 3D prints. The list is long, and sometimes the info is not very clear.
Step 3: read the titles of the different torrents on the list. If you are interest in any of them, click on the title, and you will be directed to a page containing all the info available for that torrent.
Step 4: if you are looking for 3D prints of guns, know that there is a special section for them. You can find them at https://thepiratebay.org/browse/605 However, be careful. The fact that someone has upload a 3D print and says that it works fine doesn’t guarantee its proper functioning. This is especially important for guns, as accidents with them can be fatal.
Step 5: if you are a Pirate Bay’s fun, you can find a 3D print of its symbol among the available physibles. Find it, print it and keep it on your desk.
If you need a well-known torrent application, then BitLord may be your choice. It is available online for free. In order to download it, follow these steps:
Step 1: go to https://www.bitlord.com/download/ You will be see the official BitLord page. On it, you will find a button with the label “ Start download”, and next to it, two options: Windows and Apple.
Note 1: if you are looking for a previous release of this torrent application, you will find a link to a page that lists all previous versions available underneath the download button.
Note 2: preferably use the above indicated link to the official BitLord page, as sometimes you will find on the Internet fake versions that may contain unwanted material.
Step 2: after downloading the installer, click on it and follow the indicated steps. It is a good practice to keep an icon of this app on your screen. In this manner, you can easily access it any time that you need to download a torrent file.
Step 3: now that BitLord is installed on your computer, you can proceed to download files from the Pirate Bay.
Note: BitLord is a torrent app. Thus, it can help you to download torrents in general, and it is not constrained to the PirateBay only. There are many other sites that also list torrents for movies, music and other type of material, which can also be downloaded via BitLord.
Mirrors are web sites that contain copies of the Pirate Bay content. The Pirate Bay provides copies of its database so anyone interested in it can download the data, and create a mirror site.
Mirror sites can be useful when your country of residence bans the PirateBay and you still want to access it. Similarly, as they are copies of the official site, they are convenient when you want to do a search and the Pirate Bay is offline.
Differently, proxy sites provide a direct link to the official site of the PirateBay. Thus, they give you access to exactly the same content, but if the official site is down, they are also down.
If you want to find a list of proxies / mirrors follow these steps:
Step 1: bear in mind that mirrors and proxies may have a short life span, as they are also chased by many institutions and authorities.
Step 2: do an Internet search. You will see a list of sites that claim to offer lists of mirrors and proxies of the Pirate Bay. Be aware of the fact that not all offer genuine info, and that some of them offer proper but outdated data.
Step 3: access different sites from the list until you find the proxy / mirror that you need. For example, if you go to the https://pirateproxy.wtf/ site, you will find a list of proxies and mirrors. One of them is https://mypiratebay.net/, which will allow you to search for material. Another example of a list of proxy servers is offered by https://proxybay.uk/. But again, a voice of precaution. Be patient in your search, as proxy and mirror sites vary continuously.
To be honest, I don’t download things from the internet very often. A friend recommended me this site because I wanted to listen to an old album I no longer own. So, I searched for it on The Pirate Bay and clicked on the first result. I was immediately redirected to some scammy website that I couldn’t even close! After a few tries, I finally found the download link, but the downloaded file was tiny! It was probably a virus or something, so I deleted it from my computer. That’s my experience with The Pirate Bay… never again!
Still da bomb! The Pirate Bay was the first site I used to download music, and I still visit it from time to time just to check what’s hot. Sure, there are now many other sites like it, and most of them have more polish and nicer features, but that doesn’t make The Pirate Bay any less good. It just sucks that the site has so many ads nowadays because I can’t visit it without an ad blocker since my computer would definitely get infected. I hope the Pirate Bay will keep on rocking for many years to come!
